Dr. Ronan M.T. Fleming B.V.M.S., Dip. Math., Ph.D.

Dr. Fleming is an Associate Professor in the School of Medicine, at the University of Galway. He also leads the Systems Biochemistry Group within the Digital Metabolic Twin Centre.

The Systems Biochemistry Group is an interdisciplinary research group of computational and mathematical biologists. Their fundamental interest is to develop scalable mathematical and numerical analysis techniques that increase the predictive fidelity of biomolecular network models, by combining domain-specific physicochemical constraints and generic artificial intelligence techniques. Their applied interest is in the aetiopathogenesis and amelioration of inherited metabolic and neurodegenerative diseases. Further information on the Systems Biochemistry Group is available here.
